Getting your Fingerprints on Windows 7

Windows 7 is the first Microsoft operating system to have biometric data as part of the basic package. The way it works is that any biometric fingerprint reader or a tool, you simply have to adjust to the FMB. This should eliminate the incompatibility problems quickly middleware that has been a thorn in the side of people seeking to increase network security by using biometrics.

Protector Suite Upek Take as an example. Upek always been a participant in our previous raids biometrics. The Protector Suite is a way for administrators to manage all biometric devices on your network. But there was the problem was that only worked with other products Upek. However, Windows 7, the new Protector Suite should be able to handle any biometric device that meets the standards of WBF.

All signal devices in the FMB, and management tools using the data to monitor the network rather than seek out individual fingerprint readers. In our tests, most of our biometric tools in the laboratory and are WBF-compliant, and installing them was as easy as connecting to a notebook or desktop Windows 7.

Once Windows 7 is released, the only way a software package biometric data management function through a Windows 7 is if a company limits its use only to products of the company. Companies Do not laugh, we've been doing this in other industries as part of the marketing plans stupid federal force to standardize on a product line. I do not think that will happen here. In fact, the creation of biometric tools that work across the board means that companies like Upek can sell their management suite as a standalone product, even if an agency has other Upek sensor devices installed. Now it becomes more a question of having the most accurate, easy to use software at the best price, which means that everyone wins.

Oh, and it should mean it will be easier to install any type of biometric sensor, which will improve security in less than a chore. So for those who cross fingers (and eyes and voices) ready for Windows 7, because they may be pulling extra duty.
