Windows 7 Beats Mac OS X Snow Leopard in Satisfaction Measuring Race

Windows 7, the latest and the fastest selling operating system in history, has given adequate fuel to Microsoft to surpass Apple in terms of consumer satisfaction. A London based market research firm has said that in fact Windows 7 has beaten Mac OS X Snow Leopard in the race of satisfaction delivered to end users.

Windows 7, which was launched by Microsoft on October 22, 2009 has raised the level of consumer satisfaction for Microsoft to about 67% for the whole week after the launch. The increase was less than 3% in a single day which is considerable. Surely, it was more extensive than the level of Mac OS X Snow Leopard delivered, just 1%, striking the consumer satisfaction level to 65%.

Simultaneously, Windows 7 has also managed to keep its drive throughout the end of 2009. Till December 31, 73% of users confirmed that they were satisfied with Windows 7, which was a 14% growth. In comparison to this, Apple’s customer satisfaction rate only increased by 6.9% by the end of the year.

Since release, Windows 7 sold over 60 million copies and continues to receive very good reviews and great compliments. On the other hand, Mac OS X Snow Leopard received a variety of issues. Particularly, Windows 7 was nothing like Windows Vista, while Snow Leopard was given a name Apple’s Vista.

According to Microsoft, Windows 7 customer satisfaction level is more that 73%. Microsoft Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer has said at a consumer electronics show that he is very proud to be able to say that Windows 7 is fastest selling operating system in history. But the most important measure of success is what the Windows 7 users think and a recent survey shows that the satisfaction rate among early adopters of Windows 7 is 94%. All of this is driving great results for Microsoft.

Shake is especially helpful when an employee is getting distracted by all the windows they have in front of them. Rather than having to take the time to minimize each window, all you have to do is click on the window and shake your mouse. The other windows go away and you can focus on what you are looking for.
